Brees to Moss? Cutler to Colston?

In case you didn’t know, the Saints are in the middle of an investigation into “bounties” being placed on opposing players offensive units…  Ha, like you did not know that by now.  What you might not have heard amidst dead-horse beating was that Brees is not happy with the franchise tag.  He feels as if he has played well enough to dictate the terms of his contract and rightly so, he is quite possibly the best pure passer in the game today.  I am taking this to mean that the Saints are going to have to shell out a lot to keep Brees happy.

Also within the last couple of days Randy Moss worked out for the Saints and apparently impressed everyone.  He is willing to go to any team that may need him for an un-guaranteed contract.  The Saints, in having both Marques Colston and Robert Meachem head to free agency this offseason will definitely be in the name for a quality receiver at a low price tag.

My scenario, the Saints sign Moss and Meachem (who will be the cheaper of the two free agent wideouts, and Moore will be back from injury giving them a viable receiving corps) and since Vincent Jackson will probably stay in San Diego, the Bears should do whatever it takes to sign Colston.  He may not be as talented as Jackson (whom I think the Bears should acquire if they get the chance) but he will be a bit cheaper.  If anyone has a better idea involving these players and teams I would love to hear it.

I will probably write about a lot of things nobody cares to read. There is also a good chance I do not update this very often.
